Hévíz

The world famous Spa in Héviz is the largest natural hot water spring in Europe. The lake covers an area of 4.5 hectares. It lies in beautiful natural environment. This natural karst water is being used in medical treatment since 200 years.

The temperature of the water is about 32-35 degrees centigrade in summer and 24-28 degrees centigrade in winter, therefore outdoor bathing is possible through the year. The lake has a 38 meters depth at its deepest point. The edge of the lake is shallow, so it can be used by non-swimmers as well.

People can find everything in Héviz what is necessary to rest and relax. Beyond the swimming, we can find several sporting alternatives like tennis, golf, horse riding. If we get tired we can go for a massage. In this beautiful small town there are a lot of restaurants, tearooms and in the near wine-growing area the country taverns offer their own produced wine. There are also a lot of cultural programs like opera and folk-dance performs. It is also worth coming to Héviz for families with small children because the lake Balaton is close to here and the adventure water world in Kehidakustány can also present several interesting programs for children.
